Being Trustworthy

By Walt Perryman

Being trustworthy will build character in anyone,
But when you start lying it will dwindle to none.

Whenever you lie this is what you can expect,
No one trusts a liar and you will have no respect.

Another good thing about telling the truth every day,
The truth you can remember whereas lies fade away.

So often it takes more lies to cover up just one lie.
Unless you repent, you’ll pay for lying when you die.

When you tell the truth this, I believe you will find,
You will have peace in your heart and in your mind.
