My Unfinished Baffling Morning Thought

By Walt Perryman

Yesterday I worked outside in the hot Sun,
I worked a lot, but I didn’t get anything done.

Before I get one thing finished, I start on another,
Before I finish that one, I am doing some other.

But, I stay busy at not getting anything done.
The next day nothing is finished not even one!

Reading this thought might make you dizzy,
Because when I’m doing nothing, I’m still busy.

I’ll finish this later, so it’ll make more sense to you,
Unless I'm too busy getting nothing done later too.
