Truth Or

By Walt Perryman

I would be lying if I said I don’t,
So, I won’t.

Is a little white lie just as bad as a major lie?
I know that a lie is a lie, but I am not sure why.

I guess little white lies are something we all do,
And sometimes we’ll throw in a major one too.

So, I am going to try to tell the truth today, all day!
Therefore, I will have to listen to every word I say.

Sometimes the truth can cause an excess of sorrow.
I don’t want to do that, so I will try again tomorrow.
