Crystal Clear

By Bruce Clifford

All these ups
All these downs
Walking down the streets through another town

All these dreams
All these things
Another day starts at the edge of a dried up stream

When it’s crystal clear to not say a word
When the darkness reappears from a distant void
As the space between two souls touch the empty sea
Where does this leave you and me
Where does this leave you and me

The quiet and the noise
The hollow and the void
Does anything really matter when so many are out to destroy

The wrong and the right
The dim in the light
Is there any hope left for us to make things right

When it’s crystal clear to not say a word
When the darkness reappears from a distant void
As the space between two souls touch the empty sea
Where does this leave you and me
Where does this leave you and me

All these ups
All these downs
Another day starts as the daylight comes around
