The Wire

By Bruce Clifford

I've lost the will to fight
Don't think I can get this right
Only if this universe could see
I don't think this was all make believe

I can't continue on like this
We tangle in a web of a plasma shift
Taking it all in one by one
Creating destiny under the sun

I've lost the will to walk this wire
Now I feel angry and I feel tired
Only if this universe could be
Maybe one day you will finally believe

I can't continue on as walls collapse
This entire existence is being attacked
Taking it all in stride for stride
Under the gun with no reasons why

I've lost the will to fight
Maybe one day we will get this right
Only if this universe could see
Then there will be a day when we could be
