Some Winter Haiku's

By Mary E. Adair

About things in Winter to Hate and Love:

An Icebox Ghost

Dried out old fruitcake
Stuffed with colored rub-bry bits
Discarded in June

Precipitation

Winter's snowy skies
Precipitate moving flocks
Of birds seeking warmth

Suddenly Appearing

Herring Gulls in flight:
Cupid Bow shapes congealing
From Winter's gray mist

Ballet

Exquisite ballet
As huge snowflakes twirl and swirl
Past my window pane
