Those Were The Days

By Bruce Clifford

Moving on from this corner of my mind
Chasing dreams until the best of them collide
I feel your pain, and I could never forget your smile
Missing the days when we could feel the air, run free and wild

Moving on from the depths of blue and green
Views of madness and the emptiness of desperate dreams
I hear your voice, and could never forget your style
Those were the days when we were still innocent like a child

Those were the days
Sometimes I wonder if they were real
Those were the days
Remembering what it was like to feel

Moving on from the corner of the sky
Creating energy without asking the question why
I still feel your pain and all the magic that we've missed
Missing the days when we could either go there or resist
