You Can't Believe

By Bruce Clifford

You're one step closer to the flying sky
No rest for the weary when you're only trying to stay dry
And when you bow beneath the scene in a forecasted plan
It's the only way anyone could understand

Counting your money on the table of device
Seconds from believing makes you want to think of it twice
And when you bow beneath the memories and the divine
It's the only way you could get through all of this on time

You can't believe in anything at all
You can't believe in colors or even spring and fall
You can't believe in memories as you hang them out to dry
You can't believe in magic or even in you and I
You can't believe

Lifting up to reason between the faults and the growth
Checking the countdown to see if this would float
And when you think for a moment about the timing and the past
There are never easy answers if you want good things to last

You can't believe in anything at all
You can't believe in colors or even spring and fall
You can't believe in memories as you hang them out to dry
You can't believe in magic or even in you and I
You can't believe
