Buzz Word

Yes, now we're hearing fundamental
Certainly it's incidental-
Using it as the current buzz word-
Nothing new - it's always been heard.

Yet candidates and announcers too
Utter it as though it's brand new
And each is expounding a difference
Trying to sway their audience.

What does fundamental indicate?
Basic traits one wants to relate
To bring home a particular point
Before a leader we annoint.

So fundamental repetitively
Peppers speeches negatively
As the listeners yearn to tune out
What the voice continues to tout

Thus what is fundamental to me
Is to speak out entirely free
Of that much used and mis-used label
And coin a phrase that's more stable.
