I'm Sorry That I Love You
By
Bruce Clifford
I'm sorry that I love you the way I do
I can't help but to fall in love every time I think of you
It's not just my visions of you lying next to me
I'm sorry that I love you when you're not in love with me
Like two ships passing in the night
As you sit in to cold winter with a book and a reading light
Like a fallen romance novel as history collides
It gets so hard for me to approach all the reasons why
I'm sorry that I love you as much as I do
It's hard for me to forget what we never had in this life we knew
The hope and the glitter was never in your eyes
I'm sorry that I love you as you hide in eternal sunrise
