Ecletic Eyes

By Bruce Clifford

We've been forced into the corner
Backed up against the wall
The line of least resistance
The bottom to which we fall

We've been tied up awaiting rescue
Hanging on by a thread
The moments of time defuse us
They leave us to the living dead

I bet there's a way we can break free from these chains
There's got to be a place where destiny remains
If you knock down that door to find what you're after
We've been here before and we fight through disaster

We've been forced into the war zone
The battle lines were drawn
The soldiers of disciples
Those who buried the unborn

I bet there will be a time we can break free from this pain
There's got to be a moment when we can stop this acid rain
If you break through these walls to discover fantasy on the edge
We've marched through these halls and landed out on this ledge

It's very dark in here
I can see your eclectic eyes
It's falling time I hear
It's catching up with fear

We've been tied up awaiting rescue
Hanging on by a thread
The moments of time defuse us
They leave us to the living dead
