Show Me A Sign Tonight

By Bruce Clifford

Purposely built on dust and filth
Take me for a ride tonight
Show me a sign tonight

Neon glowing with pain still showing
Take me for a stroll tonight
Make everything alright
Lock all your doors up tight
Show me a sign tonight

You're invading my chemical defenses
You're denying the Plasticine sunrise
With each picture you fall to pieces
Maybe we are better off if you wear a different disguise

Ageless but weathered the quiet eruption
Gazing at moths and scattered on the wing
Born free but tired as you await for the answers
Forgive me now, but you're not counting on just one thing

Neon glowing with the pain still showing
Take me for a ride tonight
Pain and laughter and all that comes after
Show me a sign tonight
Show me a sign tonight

So you think your built on truth and reason
I can tell you girl you don't know what you believe in
I can see in the facts and choices you decide
Now I can tell you it's time to say goodbye

Show me a sign tonight
Take to the sky and take flight
Neon glowing with the pain still showing
Take me for a ride tonight
Show me a sign tonight

You're invading places where there was peace
You're taking the moments and stealing them with ease
Show me a sign tonight
Take me for a ride tonight
Pain and laughter and all that comes after
Show me a sign tonight
Show me a sign tonight
