Eye To Eye

By Bruce Clifford

You called to the sky
Landed on the ground
When your world collides
Are you hoping to be found

When the chaos arrives
Stripped of all commands
Linear self defenses
Do you know where we stand

Now I have seen the look in your eyes
But that was so long ago since we last met eye to eye
I have seen the power of time
Crossing paths with the solar system and night sky
When we meet eye to eye

The weak and the lost
Headed for the fields
Emotional thrust
Imagine all that is real

I have seen the look and the surprise
That was so long ago since we last met eye to eye
I have risen above the endless loss of time
Crossing shadows with laughter in the summer's night sky
When we meet eye to eye

Colors of the mind
Colors of imagination
Colors in your dreams
Colors of your reality

I have seen the look running deep inside
That was so long ago since we last met eye to eye
I have seen the power of time
Crossing paths with the solar system and night sky
When we meet eye to eye
