I'm Invisible

By Bruce Clifford

I'm invisible and rusted to you
Cloak and dagger in the garden of pain
Hold on to the resistance of the chaos and pain
Chaos and pain

If you would have known me when my soul was wild and free
There would be no doubt in your heart to prevent this fantasy
If you would have known me before I became the invisible man
Now all you can see are my eyes and the memory of where I stand

I'm distant and reflective to you
Empty shadows in the garden of Neptune
Hold a candle and a memory towards the sky
Take a deep breath because you're going on a ride

If you would have known me when my heart was in its place
You would have found your answers and a love you can no longer trace
If you would have known me before this total collapse of time
Now all you hear are stories and see a fragment of my eyes

I'm invisible and poetic to you
Hot and cold in the garden of truth
Reflections of a moment as you reflect on your pain
To the others who have hurt you
With me it would have never been the same
Never been the same

If you would have known me when my soul was wild and free
There would be no doubt in your heart to prevent this fantasy
If you would have known me before I became the invisible man
Now all you can see are my eyes and the memory of where I stand
