My Feelings and I

By Bruce Clifford

11/22/02

I'm sitting here with my feelings and I
Watching flashes across an imaginary sky
I'm just counting time waiting for the train
On a dream like trip on the wing tip of a plane

I'm sitting here with my feelings, and I,
Catch earth's first dust in the corner of my eye
You never could tell if what I see is real
Inside these walls
You can count the pit falls

You would never know if what I touch and see
Is it part of the illusion
or the future coming after me
Is this pure fate or is it destiny

I'm in the corner with my feelings, and I,
I'm in the corridor of an emotional disguise
One leap of faith is a sign one would need
Let me in and show me where to begin

I'm sitting here with my feelings, and I
Catch earth's first dust in the corner of my eye
You never could tell if what I see is real
Inside these walls
You can count the pit falls
