Forbidden Fruit

By Bruce Clifford

11/20/02

Tell your secrets from inside your dreams
Make your thoughts float to extremes
How do you do, how do you say it
There's so far to go and I can't take it

The forbidden fruit is so out of reach
Tangerine and lemon as sweet as a peach
The forbidden fruit is like lying on the beach
Sour to the touch yet short on the leach

Time is the essence
Who's got the time
Time is a killer
Are you afraid of mine?

The forbidden fruit is too far to touch
Mine turns to Jell-O and yours turns to mush
The forbidden fruit is like a chemical rush
Avoid the crush, avoid the rush

The forbidden fruit is so out of reach
Tangerine and lemon as sweet as a peach
The forbidden fruit is like lying on the beach
Sour to the touch yet short on the leach
