Living in the Age

By Bruce Clifford

See all the covid kids running in the hall
All the king's horses were having a ball
Hear the echos rage in the middle of it all
Living in the age where democracy took a fall

See all the passion wings flying in the sky
Take a look at me if you want to give this a try
All the shadows turn as we begin to fly
Taking what we learn in a momentary high

Things are going down real bad
Nothing makes any sense
Things are happening so fast
Too fast to get ahead
I’m gonna run and run instead

See all the covid kids playing in the sand
The faces we once knew would never understand
Flying spaces lead us to the promised land
The echos and the seed have really forced our hand

Things are going down real bad
Nothing makes any sense
Things are happening so fast
Too fast to get ahead
I’m gonna run and run instead

Where drifting in the wind
The very moment to begin
Hear the echoes rage
Living in the age

See all the silent souls singing Silent Night
Anywhere we go we have to make things right
All the shadows hide away in the middle of the night
Dreams of who we were as we sparkle in the light

See all the covid kids running in the hall
All the kings horses were having a ball
Hear the echos rage in the middle of it all
Living in the age where democracy took a fall
