A Theatrical Thrill
By
Barbara Irvin
I sit in the audience,
waiting for the first scene of the play to begin.
The setting is inviting.
It looks like a kitchen I would want to spend time in.
The actors take their places.
With the show underway, I am transported to another world;
One which is make-believe and yet seems very lifelike.
The action I am witnessing is so dreamlike
That I never want to return to reality.
