Fly

By Wendy Shepard-Kalan

Wish I could fly like a seagull in the sky
The wind on my face
Gliding up so high
Taking me out of this place

The waves always moving as in a dance
Over the rocks and sand they flow
how I wish I had the chance
I just need to go

The clouds are white and calling
Like a voice I've always heard
From my past I'm falling
I want to fly like that bird

Graceful, a soft gray
His screech
Just another day
Soaring out of reach

Wish I could fly like a seagull in the sky
