Summer Garden

By John I. Blair

Now is the high time for all things that grow!
On my sunny patio the pots all overflow
With forty sorts of flower. Birds and butterflies fill the air
And the winding garden path leads me to a bower
Of wisteria and grape and a shady bench I know
Where I’ll sit for an hour, just happy to be there.
