Holy Trinity

By John I. Blair

(for Kit Howell)

God is no four-letter word nor three,
But structure-free.

Love is what I must perceive
That I receive or give
To want to live.

Friend, a quality of vision
When two, grown close by dropping walls,
Take time to see.

Delight’s a song, by day or night
Heard by those who find the three:
A friend, a love, and God.
