RECENTLY NAMED “AMERICAN MASTERPIECES TOURING ARTISTS,”
IN FINAL 2007 CONCERT
AT THE POCKET SANDWICH THEATRE

The legendary Light Crust Doughboys, in their final Pocket Concert of 2007, present “A Cowboy Christmas,” on Monday, December 3, at 7:30 at the Pocket Sandwich Theatre.

The Doughboys were recently notified by the Texas Commission on the Arts (TCA) of their designation by the National Endowment for the Arts as “American Masterpieces Touring Artists” for 2008. According to the Commission, The Light Crust Doughboys are one of 12 outstanding Texas artists from the current TCA Touring Artists and Companies Roster chosen for inclusion in the American Masterpieces program. The Grammy Award-winning Doughboys have been inducted into many musical Halls of Fame, and were the recipients this year of the Academy of Western Artists (AWA) “Will Rogers Award for Western Swing Group for 2007.”

The Doughboys have been crowd-pleasing favorites at the Pocket Sandwich Theatre for many years. This is their last concert scheduled for this year. Featured are Maurice Anderson, Dale Cook, Jim Baker, Kevin Bailey, and Art Greenhaw. The Doughboys Brass and Reed Ensemble will also be on hand to provide a big-band sound to the Western Swing.

The theatre will open for dinner and beverage service at 6:15 on Monday, December 3, and the show will begin at 7:30. Tickets (show only) are $18.00.
