I Can't Believe

By Bruce Clifford

Take me out of this state I'm in
Bring me back to where we can begin
Let me be the one to set the stage
So much of the world is lost and in a rage
The product is the same

Take me back to the point of no return
Send me the answers and the pages left to turn
The faith of so many cry out to so few
So much of this world knows exactly what to do
Just one in a few

I can't believe you brought me here
I've seen your face before, but now I see your fear
I can't believe you took me to this place
Once not too long ago we colored pictures of your face
I can't believe you brought me to this place

Talk to me and tell me what you're thinking
Breathe deep and open up your heart and mind
I can't believe we are standing in time

Take me away from the pieces left inside
Show me the way to let these feelings subside
Let me be the one to take away your pain
Caramel eyes at the shoreline are carefully arranged
I know it's not the same

I can't believe you brought me here
I've seen your face before, but now I see your fear
I can't believe you took me to this place
Once not too long ago we colored pictures of your face
I can't believe you brought me to this place
I can't believe
