Worm

This morning
For the second time this week
A worm attacked my PC.
Now I’m sitting here, uneasy,
Writing poetry
While my worm fix tool is working.
Monday on a rainy night
I stepped around a broken earthworm
Squirming on the sidewalk.
I hope that what I’ve heard
Of worms regenerating damaged parts
Is not a fiction
For there is no software
On my desktop
With a worm fix tool for this one.
