(My Own Story)
Nick was the boy's name, he a few years older than she. Lianna buried herself in her brother's grip, slowly drifting to sleep. He gave one of those gentle, serene smiles. "I know you're watching. Don't worry, she'll be fine." He whispered, smiling still. It shocked the group, especially Starfire.
"How... Did he know?" she asked, blinking. Robin had a guess, but didn't respond. Neither did Raven.
"Tell Beast Boy that she had a great time, she really enjoyed his company." Nick added after a moment's thought, and laid his sister on the matress, spreading the blanket over her. He smiled, and got up, walking off into the shadows from where he'd come.
The tracking device only showed darkness. The group shut off the program which they were watching. Beast Boy walked in, half depressed.
"Hey guys..." His tone gloomy.
"Lianna's brother told us that Lianna had a good time with you, Beast Boy. Maybe you should visit her?" Starfire suggested, and he nodded, with a smile, of course.
"I think I might. I had fun with her," and he left the tower, trying to remember which alley she lived in. He finally found it, quietly walking over to the moth-eaten matress. Smiling, he sat at the edge of it, watching her.
"So, you must be the famous Beast Boy," Nick said, making Beast Boy jump in shock. Nick smiled, "Don't worry about it. I'm Nick, Lianna's brother." In Nick's hands were some partially burned items; old photos, books, and such.
"Did Lianna tell you about--"
"The fire? Yeah, I'm really sorry to hear it."
Nick shrugged, "I never liked the place anyway. You hungry? I"ll get you something to eat."
"Nah, it's okay, I'm good." Beast Boy smiled.
Lianna finally stirred, sitting up and strecthing. She saw Beast Boy, quickly blushing. "Uh... Hi?" she said, standing up.
"Hey! I was wondering if maybe... You'd like to go do something?" he asked, making her smile.
"Sure."
"Have fun you two," Nick smiled.
