Subtle Thoughts

By John I. Blair

Though I think subtle thoughts
It stymies me to say them subtly,
Trapped as I am in a linear mind,
Locked in a logical language.
So when I’m poised to deal
With fog and smoke and mirrors,
It annoys me to find myself
Just describing water vapor,
Products of combustion
And reflectivity factors.
