Ball of Twine

By Michael L. Craner

Life is like twine rolled tightly into a ball.
Each rotation of the twine is a cycle
of an event, lesson, phase, period, etc...
Sometimes these cycles touch previous ones,
and of course they are all connected
as they are all one piece of the twine.

How the previous cycles were rolled
can impact the way the present and future wraps will lay.

Sometimes we must unroll our ball of twine a bit and take a re-do.
Sometimes when a person is really shaken,
they drop their ball of twine
and it unrolls quite a bit
and they are left with a choice.

Gather the twine up in a knotted messy mass
and stuff it in their pocket
and attempt to continue without it,
or they must begin the ardurous task of re-rolling the ball.

Often re-rolling the ball of twine
takes less time that it did before,
and it rolls up nicer and cleaner,
because they employ techniques and lessons
learned from before.

Comment: It appears to be an easy read at first.... I looked over it...then I went back..... and.....I went back one more time.... I guess it is more than appropriate that there is a feeling that grows as you read this...in levels.... much like the ball you rewind in it... It made me think. I like that. ~~~PEACE~~~
