Lipstick Girl

By Bruce Clifford

Lipstick girl in this chaotic world.
You bring calm to me.
You help me believe.

Lipstick girl, you’re the heart in the pearl.
You allow me to see.
You’re my everything.

I know you never leave your home
Without your lipstick, lipstick girl.

Lipstick girl in this turbulent world.
Pretty pink or in red.
You’re in the dreams in my head.

Lipstick girl, you’re the smile in my world.
The same moon that we see.
You brought faith back to me.

I never leave my home
Lipstick girl, as we take on the world.
As we’re divided by the sea.
You’ve helped me believe.

There’s no one more beautiful
Than my lipstick, lipstick girl.
