Memories of Yesterday, Little HouseBy
Walt Perryman
I didn’t know the little shotgun house we lived in was small. We had no phone, TV, or Air conditioner as far as I can recall.

I remember in the cold wintertime lying in my warm bed,And going to the restroom was something I would dread.

I would stay in my bed until I could not stand it anymore,Then make a mad dash across the cold wooden floor.

But that was happy times in my young life as I recall,Back when I had no idea our home was so very small.

The only house still standing in Grandfalls that I grew up in, is at the Pecos River bridge!
